We understand that claims are made at a difficult time, so we will do everything we can to support you and help you through the process.

You are free to call to our claims team at any time with whatever information you have and we'll do what we can to assist you. To help you better we'll find it useful if you had the following information to hand.

Making a Life Insurance Claim

(where the policy-holder has died)

  • Cause of death of the policy-holder
  • Date of death
  • Was the death outside the UK?
  • Is there a will in place?
  • Your contact details (if different to policy-holder)
  • Are solicitors dealing with the estate (if so, what are their contact details?)


Making a Life Insurance Claim

(where the policy-holder has been diagnosed with a terminal illness)

  • Nature of the diagnosed illness
  • Date of diagnosis
  • Predicted life expectancy
  • Details of any treatment
  • The contact details of the treating consultant
  • Your contact details


Making a Critical Illness Claim

  • Nature of the diagnosed illness
  • Date of diagnosis
  • Details of any treatment

Making an Income Protection Claim

(due to illness)

  • Nature of the diagnosed illness

  • First day absent from work
  • Expected return to work date

Making an Income Protection Claim

(due to unemployment)

  • Details of payment in lieu of service
  • Details of redundancy packages
