It was a busy year for LifeSearch, we dealt with 328 new claims and £12,421,648 was paid out in total for 2015, with a further £4,378,028 still in the pipeline.

The types of claim varied.

We find out about the majority of our claims from the insurers emailing us direct or the clients contacting us. In 2016, one of our main objectives is to get more insurers notifying us of new claims, and our claims team will be visiting their offices to spread the word and explain the numerous benefits, then we can then offer our claims service and extended benefits to even more clients!

51 of our clients benefited from our Red Arc service last year, with referral reasons varying from physiotherapy to mental health counselling.

Quick facts for 2015

Just 10% of the death claims we dealt with were written into trust, leaving a large proportion of the remaining claims having to apply for a Grant of Probate, a costly and time consuming process. LifeSearch write policies into trust free-of-charge, and we will continue to educate our clients and promote this benefit to them in 2016 and beyond.
